Whether visiting or local, this attraction is a must-see. You’ll step back in time to the 1940s to learn of Cash’s upbringing in Kingsland, Arkansas, all the way to following the origins of his career from the Air Force to the sound stage. You’ll find Johnny Cash-worn outfits and platinum and gold records showcased in the museum’s unique modern-art style. The official Folsom State Prison outfit is here, hanging behind the glass! This is the photo op of a lifetime for Cash fans.
The museum even features a newly renovated interactive section where you can play around with the vocals and personalize some of The Man in Black’s top hits, like Ring of Fire, Walk the Line, and Hurt.
Johnny Cash’s professional entertainment career spanned from 1954 to 2003. He’s a Country Music Hall of Famer, and Rolling Stone named him one of the most influential musicians of all time. The Man in Black has a style matched by no other, and in this museum you’ll be able to surround yourself with the most unique Cash collection in the world. Even the most die-hard fans will discover new tidbits of Johnny’s life!
The secret to the museum being such a hit is Icon Group’s Bill Miller. The founder and CEO of the Nashville-based firm was a close personal friend of Cash. The museum is not only a breathtaking dedication to the man who changed rock and roll, it’s a tribute from one friend to another.
There’s a shop with unique Nashville in-store-only pickups. Browse everything from T-shirts to authentic records. You can even grab a latte from Cash Coffee. Thanks for stopping by Nashville & Co! We’ll see you in the next one.
